Jason Cavanagh

Owner/handyman

Jason Cavanagh’s lifelong dedication to the arts—spanning theatre, performance, and visual arts—has shaped The Motley Bauhaus into a vibrant hub for independent creativity. With a career as a director, actor, writer, oil painter, and sculptor, Jason has always believed in the transformative power of art in all its forms. His experience founding and running spaces like The Owl and the Pussycat Theatre, co-producing hundreds of shows and exhibitions, laid the groundwork for his vision of The Motley Bauhaus.
This multidisciplinary venue reflects his passion for providing a platform where diverse voices and art forms can coexist, thrive, and inspire. Recognized with the 2022 Geoffrey Milne Green Room Award for Outstanding Contribution to Independent Theatre, Jason continues to champion independent artists and foster a community that celebrates bold, innovative, and inclusive artistic expression.

Savier D'Arsie-Marquez

Programming Manager

Savier D’Arsie-Marquez brings a rich background in experimental and political theatre, alongside a deep passion for diversity of representation, to their role as Programming Manager at The Motley Bauhaus. With experience leading innovative projects and a strong commitment to amplifying underrepresented voices, Savier curates a multidisciplinary program that celebrates inclusivity and creative exploration. Production Manager

Juliet Hindmarsh, an accomplished actor and production manager based in Melbourne, brings over 15 years of experience in stage, screen, and television commercials to her role as Production Manager at The Motley Bauhaus. As the primary contact for artists, Juliet is dedicated to guiding them through the production process, ensuring their work transitions smoothly to the stage.
